My Favorite Invention

My Favorite invention so far is the crossbow because I like archery and I think that it is a very fascinating invention.

 A crossbow at its most basic is a bow mounted on a stick.  It has a mechanism to catch and hold the bow string after pulling the crossbow back and a triggering device to release the string and send the arrow or bolt flying.  The crossbow does not require much training versus a bow and arrow which needs a lot of training, but the downside to a crossbow is that it takes longer to load. 

So my favorite invention is the crossbow.   The reason it is one of my favorite inventions is because the crossbow is a cool and interesting invention, and after a few shots it can penetrate medieval armor.
