War has been going on since the beginning of time, and military inventions have changed the outcome of war for years. Weapons have evolved deeply from the simple to the complex. That can change the outcome of wars.
At first, the sword was basically just a rounded tip blade with a leather handle. This invention helped change warfare because it was easier to attack with a sword than with rocks. Soon swords became more perfected, and things were added like the cross guard which prevents one’s hand from being cut. If someone was battling a person with a modern day sword while the other person was battling with an older sword, one would think that the one with the modern day sword would win. As time went on, swords slowly fell out of fashion and were replaced by guns. Guns became more common because you could shoot a gun accurately from a distance as opposed to attacking with a sword from close range.
So as one can see, as time went on weapons became deadlier. Guns were more deadly than rocks. One could shoot a gun faster than one could throw a rock. Therefore, these weapons changed the outcome of war.
