I learned about three inventions this week: the Mercury Barometer, the Vacuum Pump, and the Pendulum Clock. The first invention I learned about is the Mercury Barometer. The Mercury Barometer is an instrument that measures atmospheric pressure.  It impacted history because it helped invent electricity.
