I learned about 3 inventions this week: the compound microscope, the newspaper, and the telescope.
The first invention is the compound microscope. The compound microscope is like a simple microscope. The simple microscope has one lense, while the compound microscope has lots of lenses. The reason it has more lenses is because the more lenses the more magnification. Because of the magnification, one could look at tiny diseases and find a cure for it, and this had a major impact on history.
The next invention is the newspaper. The newspaper is a piece of paper with news and other bits of information printed on it. It impacted history because news could travel a lot faster than just telling people.
The last invention is the telescope. The telescope is a piece of astronomical equipment that uses mirrors to magnify stars and planets. It impacted history because they helped people make discoveries about the planets and stars.
To summarize, I learned about three inventions this week: the compound microscope, the newspaper, and the telescope. I think that the telescope is very interesting because of the way it uses mirrors to work.
