I learned about four inventions this week: the English longbow, spurs, the blast furnace, and plate armor.
The first invention is the English longbow. The English longbow is really just a much bigger bow and is about six feet tall. It impacted history because the longbow could penetrate heavy armor.
The next invention are the spurs. The spurs are something you attach to your shoe and have little spikes to keep your horse under control which I think is a very smart idea. It impacted history because in battle if the horse was scared the rider could keep the horse under control.
The next invention is the blast furnace. The blast furnace converts iron ore into pig iron. It impacted history because without the blast furnace we would not have a lot of things that we use for everyday life like bells and cannons.
The last invention is plate armor. Plate armor is made from metal but still flexible and not too heavy. It impacted history because one could be protected from most kinds of attacks.
So to recap, the English longbow, spurs, the blast furnace, and plate armor have had a significant impact on history.
Very nice I really loved it.
