Week 18 Inventions

I learned about two inventions this week.  The Heliocentric theory, and the pencil.

The first invention is the Heliocentric theory.  The Heliocentric theory is the theory which the Earth and planets revolve around the Sun at the center of the Solar System.  It impacted history because the Heliocentric theory helped start the scientific revolution.

The last invention is the pencil. The pencil is a long piece of charcoal or lead in a wooden case.  It impacted history because with the pencil one could make mistakes and instead of crossing it out, one could erase it instead.  I really like the pencil because it can be used as an everyday object or a fine artist’s tool.

To summarize, I learned about two inventions this week: the Heliocentric theory and the pencil which both are very interesting inventions.
