I learned about two inventions this week: the Lead Chamber Process and the Spinning Jenny. I also learned about two inventors: Richard Arkwright and James Watt.
The first invention is the Lead Chamber Process. The Lead Chamber Process is a process that produces sulfuric acid. It impacted history because sulfuric acid is used in fertilizer. Fertilizer is used to fertilize the ground in things like gardens which is really helpful because fertilizer puts nutrients in the ground.
The last invention is the Spinning Jenny. The Spinning Jenny is a spinning wheel on its side but with a spinning frame. It impacted history because it could spin more thread which enabled thread makers to keep up with cloth makers.
The first inventor is Richard Arkwright. Richard Arkwright is the man who invented the water frame. It impacted history because one could spin tighter thread which resulted in stronger fabric.
The last inventor is James Watt. James Watt invented the Watt Steam engine which is the improved Newcomen steam engine. It impacted history because his steam engine led to trains.
So in conclusion, the Lead Chamber Process and the Spinning Jenny were the two inventions I learned about and Richard Arkwright and James Watt were the two inventions I learned about.
