This week I learned about Dynamite, the Chuckwagon, the Typewriter, and Ticker Tape. This week I will show how useful these inventions are.
Dynamite is a stick of highly explosive chemicals. It is used to blast holes in the side of mountains which can be used for making tunnels through the mountains or for mining. It is also used to blow up buildings . It impacted history because one can make a tunnel through a mountain much faster than with just hand tools so more time can be spent working on other projects.
The Chuckwagon was a wagon that carried all the food on a cattle trail. The Chuckwagon goes ahead of everybody else to set up the camp. Without the Chuckwagon food would have to be stored somewhere else on cattle drives. This was helpful because the Chuckwagon was basically a portable kitchen used to feed the cowboys allowing cowboys to do more work on the trails..
The Typewriter is a machine used to type words on paper. TheTypewriter is very useful because people can type faster and look neater than one just using pencil and paper.
Ticker Tape was a machine that printed stock information on a long narrow piece of paper. It was used so people would know how much the stocks were worth. This changed history because people could know how much stocks are worth quickly.
Finally, my favorite invention is the Chuckwagon because I think it is cool how it is a portable kitchen in a wagon.
