I learned about one invention and three inventors this week. The invention is calculus and the inventors are Christaan Huygens, Anton van Leeuwenhoek, and Isaac Newton.
The only invention is calculus. Calculus is a type of math. It impacted history because it helped make calculators and computers possible.
The first inventor is Christaan Huygens. Christaan Huygens came up with the wave theory of light. He impacted history because he helped people learn about light and the way it works.
The next inventor is Anton van Leeuwenhoek. Anton van Leeuwenhoek did a lot of things with microscopes. He impacted history because he studied bacteria which helped people learn about their bodies. He also built his own microscope.
The last inventor is Isaac Newton. Isaac Newton discovered the law of gravity. He impacted history because without the law gravity people could not have launched things into outer space. An apple falling on Isaac Newton’s head helped him discover the law of gravity.
So I learned about one invention and three inventors this week. The invention is calculus and the inventors are Christaan Huygens, Anton van Leeuwenhoek, and Isaac Newton which all had impacts on history.
