This week I learned about the Clothes Hanger, the Rotary Can Opener, Mail Order Catalog, Earmuffs.
The Clothes Hanger is a piece of wire that is bent in a triangular shape with a hook at the top so one can hang their clothing up in a closet. Some Clothes Hangers have a cardboard tube at the bottom so one can hang up their pants. The Clothes Hanger made life easier because one’s clothing would not get as wrinkly, therefore one would not have to iron as much.
The Rotary Can Opener is a device that lets one open cans easily. It clips on the can and one then turns the knob, when the knob is turned the sharp blade goes around the can and opens the can. The reason the Rotary Can Opener is so useful is because cans can be opened really quickly and it does not take someone really strong to open it.
The Mail Order Catalog is a catalog that has different items that one can order. It is a convenient way to order stuff and pick it up at the store or have it delivered to the person’s house. The benefits of the Mail Order Catalog is that one does not have to go to the store to buy things.
The final invention is the Earmuffs. The Earmuffs are like two little puff balls on a hair band. The little balls stay on your ears to help keep them warm. The reason Earmuffs are so imported is that one can do lots of work in the cold without one’s ears getting frost bitten.
Finally, my favorite invention this week is the Rotary Can Opener because it makes it easier for me to open cans.
